  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 7×3 inch loaf pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, oil, water, and sugar until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just blended.
  4. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  5. Bake for about 50 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  6. Cool the loaves in the pans for 10 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Consider adding nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips for added texture and flavor.
  • This bread freezes well. Wrap cooled loaves in plastic wrap and aluminum foil before freezing.
